Alma Allen, American Sculptor, Is Selected for Venice Biennale

The choice of a relatively unknown artist based in Mexico City ends a chaotic, much-delayed selection process led by the State Department.The artist Alma Allen, 55, will exhibit nearly 30 sculptures at the U.S. pavilion of the 2026 Venice Biennale starting in May, organized by the curator Jeffrey Uslip. Allen lives and works in Mexico.
